Shawn Russell plays guitar. Shawn studies guitar. Shawn teaches guitar. Shawn's guitar is a significant part of his life and to a large degree defines who is is. That doesn't mean that he is one dimensional, however. Shawn is also an excellent baseball player and coach, an amateur magician, and a very good bowler. So if your band is in a softball or bowling league and it needs a lead guitarist who can entertain the crowd during breaks with his magic then Shawn is your guy.

Shawn currently plays lead guitar in one of the finest bands in the area, The Jason Sapen Band.  JSB performs rockin', jammin', acoustic versions of the best rock songs of the past 40 years, including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Dave Matthews Band, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pink Floyd, and Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few.

Shawn has been a professional guitar instructor for three years and has studied guitar with "Southside" Denny Snyder and with Notre Dame music instructor Don Savoie.
